WHAT'S NEW! Luam launched her new clothing line L.U.A.M. (Love Understands All Music) by Wildchild Nation at www.wildchildnation.com in 2007! Already it has been worn by the celebrities and choreographers alike, and will be featured on upcoming release movie Step Up 2. There are also some new exciting developments with the main line Wildchild by Wildchild Nation, stay tuned...

WHAT'S OLD... ;-)
Luam began dancing with African Rhythms Dance Company at University of Pennsylvania and Ballet Shango in Philadelphia before moving to NY (graduating with a degree in Biological Bases of Behavior, double minors in Psychology and African American Studies). While working at the AOL TimeWarner's, Time Inc. in the Advance Technology Group, she continued her training at Broadway Dance Center and Djoniba Dance Center studying Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, West African, Cuban, Modern, & Haitian. Here, she also worked with Rhapsody: The Company for several years. Meanwhile she continued at Time Inc., working on creative technology projects with Fortune, People, Entertainment Weekly, as well as their Intranet & Advanced Communications Group.
Her passion for dance grew to teaching and choreography & she began teaching at Djoniba Dance Center and NY Sports Clubs in 2000. Suddenly, in 2002 she left her career in technology and plans for medicine behind to pursue it full time. Now free to aggressively follow her dreams in dance/choreography she continued teaching and training, while her career has brought her to artists and stages all over the world. She has choreographed for TV ,commercial campaigns (MTV's Hip Hop Week, Mastercard, As The World Turns, etc.) and various recording artists (Kris, Joe Buddens, etc.). She has also worked with Ludacris, Kelis, Kanye West, Fergie, Busta Rhymes, Ashanti, Kevin Lyttle, and more. She has recently worked with Ciara, Mashonda, Nelly Furtado; choreographed for Fila, as well as Def Jam artist Rihanna on stages and screens all over the world and in the US. Having just finished up projects with MTV for her own micoseries Fashion: The Life, and choreographing for PEPSI and a world tour for record selling Asian artist, A'Mei, Luam also teaches master workshops internationally and performs with her dancers internationally.

“...while opinions matter and fall behind
when the room is empty and had it’s fill
when all the world is deaf and blind
she loves the dance and dances still.”
